Dr. Calhoun is a neurosurgeon at Arkansas Surgical Hospital in North Little Rock & St. Vincent North in Sherwood, Arkansas where he performs surgeries on the peripheral nerves and spinal cord. Alongside his work at the hospital, he treats patients with spinal cord and peripheral nerve disorders at his private practice, as well as at a satellite office Banister Lieblong Clinic, in Conway, AR.
Dr. J. Michael Calhoun is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons & belongs to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and the Arkansas Medical Society.
Dr. Calhoun’s primary practice focuses on surgical treatment of spinal disorders. This includes complete Spinal procedures on both the lumbar and cervical spine and lumbar fusion using minimally invasive techniques.
He is not only dedicated to his patients but to the community as well. He is a member of the North Little Rock and Sherwood Chambers of Commerce. Dr. Calhoun also does community education in regards to disease processes, along with surgical implementation of the latest techniques.
